EXTRACURRICULARS & ATHLETICS
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Learning at Digital Pioneers Academy takes place in and out of the classroom. Extracurricular activities support DPA’s focus on college readiness: Scholars exercise commitment when selecting their activities, expand their network as they interact with scholars outside of their normal friend group, and grow their skills in a new area of interest.

HIGH SCHOOL
At DPA we prioritize our core academic mission as a computer science based school and recognize that athletics provide a sense of belonging that allows scholars to thrive. Following the District of Columbia State Athletic Association’s guidelines, scholar athletes are required to maintain a 2.0 grade point average per marking period to be eligible to participate. Through athletics, our scholars have an opportunity to exercise leadership, commitment, team building, ownership, grit, discipline, emotional regulation and many other positive traits that build character.
