We hope you all are having a safe and enjoyable summer! We are just 5 short weeks away from the start of the 24-25 school year, and we wanted to provide some information about the upcoming school year. We have much to look forward to this year; most importantly, our founding class will be the first Class in DPA history to Graduate and GO TO COLLEGE! We have a lot of work to do this year and we are so excited to accomplish our goals with you as partners. Please see below for updates and information. |

Key Dates and Events |

August 19th is the official start of SY 24-25. Please key dates and details below. Our goal is 95% attendance. Everyday counts. Scholars who have 95% attendance are 95% more likely to be on track for grade level mastery and college and career readiness. August 7th – New High School Family Meeting (Grades 9,10,11,12) August 8th – New Middle School Family Meeting (Grades 6,7,8) August 10th – Uniform Sale August 19th – 6th, 9th, & 12th Grade Orientation – 1pm Dismissal {MANDATORY} August 20th – 7th, 8th, 10th, & 11th Grade Orientation – 1pm Dismissal {MANDATORY} August 21st – FIRST DAY OF CLASSES FOR ALL SCHOLARS – 1pm Dismissal August 22nd & 23rd – 1pm Dismissal August 26th – Full Day September 4th – Picture Day | Grades 6-12 October 9th & October 10th – Parent Teacher Conferences |

Uniforms & Uniform Sales Event |

ALL DPA scholars in grades 6th – 12th are REQUIRED to wear the DPA Uniform. Uniforms will go on sale starting Monday August 5th at our Uniform store located at our High School Campus. Families are welcome to come anytime during store hours to purchase their scholar’s uniforms – no appointment needed. When the school year begins families will be able to purchase uniforms at their scholars’ respective campus. UNIFORM POLICY All scholars are required to wear the DPA uniform everyday. Scholars & families can purchase all uniform items directly from the school or purchase certain parts of the uniform that falls within the uniform guidelines. DPA Polos and Outerwear must be purchased from the school. Acceptable Gray Jeans – No Rips or Tears Gray Chinos/Pants Gray Cargo Pants Gray Skirts Any Color Sneaker, Boot, or Tennis Shoe. Non- marking soles please. Unacceptable Any Pants/Skirts that are not Gray Foam Runners Crocs Any Open Toe Shoe High Heels

New Scholar Parent Meeting |

In an effort to make sure all New Families have all of the information they need, and grant them a space to speak directly with the team ahead of the first week of school, DPA will be hosting a “New Families Parent Meeting” at both of our campuses. During this time you will hear directly from school leaders, teachers and current students and have the ability to ask any questions you might have about the upcoming school year.
