Dear DPA Families,
Each day of school matters, and your scholar’s consistent attendance is one of the strongest predictors of their long-term success. When students are present, they build essential skills step by step, engage in meaningful learning experiences, and stay connected to the routines that support their growth. Even just a few absences can create gaps that are hard to close—missing two days a month adds up to nearly 20 days of lost learning over the year, the equivalent of almost an entire month of school.
Strong attendance also helps scholars build habits that last well beyond the classroom. Students who come to school every day are more likely to stay on track academically, demonstrate stronger social-emotional skills, and feel more confident in their learning. Research shows that regular attendance is closely linked to higher reading and math achievement, stronger relationships with teachers, and improved high school and college readiness.
We know that life happens, and we appreciate the partnership of our families in helping scholars arrive on time and ready to learn each day. Your support makes a difference. When attendance is a priority at home, scholars internalize that school is important—and that their learning matters. Together, we can ensure every scholar has the opportunity to grow, achieve, and shine.

After three incredible years together, we can’t wait to continue offering scholars an unforgettable two-week sleepaway experience filled with nature, team-building, leadership, and joy. Camp Canopy has proven to be transformative — fostering confidence, curiosity, and connection. 85% of Digital Pioneers campers said they’d return if they could, and 83% of all campers found activities fun and engaging!
